I think I might attempt a square-necked OP with my brown/white damask.
With a white inset, probably, unless I have enought brown fabric lying around to make it work… and if it’s in the right shade.
Probably something like this:

I might do the bell of the sleeves contrasting (in the inset color), and less rows of lace… but I do like the shirring in the front a lot, and the pintucks on the inset are lovely.
I have an 18th century costume pattern I can go off of, too; but since the inset on that pattern is a point and my inset is going to be shirred, I’ll just wing it on that part.
